Lower Thames Crossing – what a major project could mean for our area

This is session for Board members to understand more about this,  once in a generation, nationally significant investment, in the planning for our area. 

The project has changed shape over the years and is now at an important stage this year as it plans for and prepares to submit its Development Consent Order (DCO) – similar to a small scheme applying for planning permission.  This is an opportunity for Board members to hear directly from the Highways England team, to help share information on this scheme and what a major project like this could mean for our area – including short term during the construction phase and the longer term rationale for the investment.
