The South East Local Enterprise Partnership (SELEP) has welcomed the announcement of the new franchise for the East Anglian mainline, which will see significant investment in rail services in the region.
The bid follows a call for applications to the Local Growth Fund made by Rt Hon Greg Clark MP earlier this year. The £229m bid puts forward 41 projects from across East Sussex, Essex, Kent, Medway, Southend and Thurrock.
