South East LEP has been given £160 million of European Funding to support jobs and growth in our area between 2014 and 2020. As this money is matched pound for pound by the organisations that successfully bid for the funding, it means that there is a pot of around £320 million to support people to acquire skills and for small business to develop and grow to a better future.
We are now halfway through the funding period and have some great news stories to show how the funds have been spent.
- Over £50 million of the £71.6 million European Social Fund Programme (ESF) money has been contracted to support a range of projects to help people to become more employable and to gain skills for the workplace. Click here to find out more about our ESF programmes.
- Using European Regional Development Funding (ERDF) 10 large projects worth over £28 million are up and running working to help small businesses to start up and grow providing advice and support, grants, extra capacity, energy audits and innovation support.
